Adirondack Frostbite News Release
GLENS FALLS, NY -- Greg Koehler scored three points to lead a balanced offensive attack as the Adirondack Frostbite improved to 12-0-0 against the Richmond RiverDogs this season with a 6-1 win in front of 2,002 fans at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Richmond opened the scoring with a power-play goal 8:52 into the opening period. Todd Grant's slap shot beat Kris Tebbs over the right shoulder for his ninth of the season.
After that, it was all Adirondack as the Frostbite scored six unanswered goals. Just 58 seconds after Grant's goal, Sylvain Cloutier tipped home a Scott Drevitch blast from the blue line for a power-play tally.
The Frostbite went on top for good at 17:44 as Mike Berry centered a pass for Ryan Prentice at the hash marks, and he beat Doug Groenestege over the glove for his sixth of the night.
Adirondack scored three times in the second period, as Ryan Bennett, Koehler, and Mark Hurtubise scored to make it 5-1 after two periods.
Kevin Watters finished the scoring 7:17 into the final period, one-timing a drop pass from David Moccia just underneath the cross bar for his team-leading 35th of the season. Moccia's assist extended his scoring streak to four games.
Adirondack's four-game home stand continues on Friday, as the Frostbite host the Roanoke Valley Vipers at 7:35 p.m. Tickers are available at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling (518) 798-0202.
