Komets Add Legault to Preseason Roster

Fort Wayne, IN | Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 --- The Komets announced Wednesday that Olivier Legault has been added to the 2010-11 preseason roster.

Legault, 23, will be entering his fourth pro season after appearing in 16 regular season games with Kalamazoo of the ECHL last season (0 pts, 55 pim).

2010-11 will be Legault's third stint with Fort Wayne. The left winger skated 55 regular season games with the Komets during 2007-08 posting three goals and nine assists while ranking third in the lineup with 178 penalty minutes as the Komets collected an IHL regular season title, followed by the IHL Turner Cup Championship.

Legault also appeared with the Komets in 39 regular season games during 2008-09 scoring five goals, eight points and 116 penalty minutes en route to claiming his second straight IHL championship.

The Fort Wayne 2010-11 preseason roster of 23 includes 12 forwards, 10 defensemen and one goaltender.

Komets make schedule change The Komets have moved their Wednesday, Jan. 5 home date with Quad City to Sunday, Jan. 9 at 5pm. The change gives the Komets a total of six Sunday home outings and cuts Wednesday home dates to seven for the upcoming campaign.

Komets set preseason dates with Dayton Home opener Oct. 16 The Komets' training camp is scheduled to start Monday, Oct. 4 at the Memorial Coliseum and two exhibition games are planned. The Komets will face the Dayton Gems in both games starting with a home tuneup against the Gems at the Coliseum Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7:30pm. The Komets will travel to Dayton for a preseason tilt at Hara Arena Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7:30pm.

The reigning IHL Turner Cup Champion Komets will skate their 59th home opener Saturday, Oct. 16 against last year's CHL Champion Rapid City Rush at 7:30pm.
