Komet P.C. Drouin added to All-Stars

Fort Wayne, IN — The United Hockey League announced today that Fort Wayne's P.C. Drouin has been added to the Team Mountain Dew All-Star roster. Due to injury Quad City's Jason Deskins will be unable to perform at the All-Star Classic.

Drouin, 30, is in his first season with the Komets and his first in the UHL since returning to North America after a 6-year stint in Europe. Prior to his European play, the left winger enjoyed 2 pro seasons (1996-97 & 1997-98) appearing in stints with Providence (AHL) and Charlotte (ECHL) plus skated 3 games with Boston (NHL) . Drouin has posted 15 goals and 44 points in 43 games to date with the Komets and is currently riding a 9-game point streak (5g, 7a, 12pts).

Drouin will join Komet head coach Greg Puhalski as well as teammates Colin Chaulk, Sean Venedam and Jonathan Goodwin as representatives of the Komets when the All-Star Game is played in Adirondack Jan. 24. Komet defenseman Jason Kean was also selected a UHL All-Star but will be unable to attend due to injury.

Komet double-header weekend....the Komets will skate back-to-back home games starting tonight before breaking for the UHL All-Star Game. Tonight the Komets play host to the Missouri River Otters at 8pm and tomorrow the Komets face the visiting Rockford IceHogs at 7:30pm. Plenty of good seats remain for both Komet home games. Tickets are on sale at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
