Kohn named UIF Player of the Week

The Ohio Valley Greyhounds of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that quarterback Matthew Kohn has been named UIF Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts versus Bloomington in Week 5.

Kohn won the Offensive honors for the second week in a row. He has had two record setting performances by setting a new UIF record for most passing yards in a game by throwing for 314 yards in Week 4 and tying a UIF record for touchdown passes in a game with 7 versus Bloomington last Saturday. Kohn also rushed for one touchdown to take part in 48 of the Hounds 67 points in their second victory in a row. Matt has thrown for 13 touchdown passes in those two victories. Kohn is leading the UIF in passing yards with 1010.

Stein says, "We are thrilled to have Matt named Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row. We knew when we brought him aboard that he possessed huge amounts of talent, now that talent is evident to the rest if the UIF."

See Matthew and the rest of the Greyhounds in action as they are at home this Saturday as the Sioux Falls Storm come to Wheeling. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 PM. Tickets may be purchased at the Wesbanco Arena Box Office, the Ohio Valley Greyhounds office or by calling (304) 233-4470. Saturday is "Student Night" at Wesbanco Arena where any elementary, middle, high school, or college student to show a student ID or recent report card will receive a discount on the price of a ticket.
