Both Lexington and Fort Wayne are coming off of nail-biting games in Week 5. Fort Wayne held a 13-point halftime lead, but could not hold on to it as Sioux Falls defeated the Freedom 47-44 in overtime. Fort Wayne leads the UIF in turnover margin with a +3 and defensive back Scott Heighland is second in the UIF in interceptions with 4. The Freedom defense will need to remain strong as Lexington's #1 scoring offense takes the field. The Horsemen are averaging 45.8 points per game. Lexington held off Evansville in Week 5 by a score of 33-26. Wide receiver Chad Spencer is leading the UIF in receiving touchdowns with 8 and is fifth in the league in receiving yards. This is the first of two meetings this season for the Eastern Division rivals. Ft. Wayne and Lexington finished at the top of their respective divisions last season and took the number one and three seeds going into the 2005 play-offs.
