Greyhounds and Network West Virginia Announce Broadcast Partnership

Network West Virginia (NWV) of Parkersburg WV. and the Ohio Valley Greyhounds Professional Indoor Football team based in Wheeling, WV. announced today that an agreement has been signed for Network WV to produce and air (3) three of the Greyhound's Home Games across the entire Network West Virginia coverage area. Network West Virginia will carry one Home game per month beginning in may and running through July with games against the Evansville (Indiana) BlueCats and the Rock River (Illinois) Raptors.

Network West Virginia has announced that leading up to the May 5th debut of the Greyhounds on the NWV cable network, Network West Virginia will be televising a 30 minute comprehensive in-studio program introducing Team Owner Lou Stein, Head Coach Ervin Bryson, and several of the star players of the Ohio Valley Greyhounds.

West Virginia broadcasting veterans Steve Daughtery and John Chalfant have signed on as the voices of the Ohio Valley Greyhounds on network West Virginia, Daughtery will handle the game play-by-play while Chalfant will add his take with the color commentary.

"We are very excited to be able to bring to our Network West Virginia Viewers this brand of exciting fast-paced football, said Clint Morris, Network West Virginia Manager. "This is just another example of NWV's commitment to our communities and our state by bringing great local programming to our viewers."

Based in Wheeling, WV. the Ohio Valley Greyhounds of the United Indoor Football League are one of the most successful indoor football teams in the country. The Greyhounds, now in their ninth season, have won six Conference titles and two back-to-back National Championships in 2002 & 2003 posting a perfect 17-0 season in 2003. All of the Greyhound Home Games are played in the 5,700 seat WesBanco Arena in downtown Wheeling, WV.

Greyhound management is also pleased to announce that at all home games this year, all Greyhound ticket holders will be welcome Free of Charge to attend a Collegiate or High School Indoor Lacrosse match which will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at WesBanco Arena prior to each Greyhound home game. Lacrosse has become the fastest growing sport in the country today and like indoor football is a phenomenal spectator sport. The Ohio Valley Greyhounds regular season opened Saturday March 24, 2007 with a home game at WesBanco Arena against the Lexington Horsemen. The regular Season extends until July 15th, 2007 and then the UIF play-offs and begin with the United Bowl III being played the first week-end in August.
