Orlando City SC News Release

The Lions look to take their unbeaten run to ten straight games Wednesday night on the road against Atlanta United at 7:00 pm ET on Fox 35 Plus. Here is what you need to know about City's opponents:

Key Transactions and Player News

Notable departures have been Darlington Nagbe, Justin Meram, Florentin Pogba, Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, Julian Gressel and Hector Villalba all left the club in the offseason. Most recently, the headline loss was Pity Martinez but Atlanta United has since replaced Pity with Marcelino Moreno signed from Lanus in Argentina.

Atlanta however may be without Marcelino Moreno and Ezequiel Barco according to tweets from Mike Conti who is the play-by-play voice of Atlanta United for 92.9 The Game.

Stephen Glass says Marcelino Moreno is still training individually (not with the group due to protocols). They are still aiming to have him play Saturday against RBNY.

Injury Report: Josef Martinez (torn ACL 2/29) and Erick Torres (knee sprain) are both out.

Team Form

Atlanta currently sits in 8th in the East with 17 points. United are 2-3-0 in their last five matches with their latest match ending in a 4-0 win over D.C. United.

Head-to-Head

The Lions are unbeaten against Atlanta with a win and draw in the two meetings in 2020.

Rasmussen College Fact

City's last trip to Atlanta ended in a 3-1 win over Atlanta. Chris Mueller, Benji Michel and Nani scored the goals on that day.
