WORCESTER, Ma. - Coming off Wednesday night's win where the Bravehearts had their offense clicking, they we're able to generate any momentum tonight as the Nashua Silver Knights won on the road by the score of 4-Â1 at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field.
Kevin Magee (Pompton Lakes, NJ/St. John's) had complete control of this game, taking the victory for Nashua. After giving up an unearned run in the 1st inning, Magee cruised through seven innings of work, allowing just five hits, no walks, and striking out four batters. Willie Allen (Boston, MA/Lewis & Clark State) scored the lone run for the Bravehearts.
Greg Stagani (Richmond, OH/West Liberty) took the loss for the home team, lasting six innings, giving up three earned runs, walking one, and striking out three batters. Stagani gave up three straight singles to Nasuha in the 4th inning, followed by a sacrifice fly and a fielder's choice from the Silver Nights, and an RBI-Âsingle from Ben Bengston (Concord, NH/Hartford) to give Nashua a 3-Â1 lead.
Tyler Schwanz (Howell, MI/Maine) added an insurance run in the 9th inning with a moon shot over the left field fence at Hanover Insurance Park, giving Nashua the 4-Â1 lead.
The Worcester Bravehearts head to Martha's Vineyard on Friday night for a 7:05 pm start time to face off against the Sharks. The Bravehearts return home on Saturday night at 7:05 pm at Hanover Insurance Park, as they play host to the Bristol Blues.
