Knights to Honour Pete James

LONDON, ONTARIO: The London Knights Hockey Club along with Global Spectrum Management, Newstalk 1290 CJBK and Shoeless Joe's Restaurant are pleased to announce that they will honour long time radio voice Pete James prior to their home game on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 vs. Kitchener Rangers. Game time is 7:00 PM. The London Knights will salute Pete for his 40 years of reporting and broadcasting the London Knights Hockey Club games.

James is currently the colour commentator along with Mike Stubbs on Newstalk 1290 CJBK. He has been broadcasting sports in London since 1955 and holds the distinction of hosting the opening ceremony of the London Ice House and John Labatt Centre. Effective October 31st Pete will hang up his headphones as part of the Newstalk 1290 morning show, and make his final trip around the Ontario Hockey League during the 2010-2011 season.
