
Knights Lose Close Game

FORT MILL, S.C. - The Knights came up on the short end of the stick as they lost to Durham 3-2.
Coming into the 8th inning, the only runs of the game came in the 3rd as the Bulls led 3-1. DH Kenny Perez drove in the Knights only runs of the game. In the 3rd Perez got an RBI double and topped himself in the 8th as he blasted a solo home-run to narrow the game down to a one run game.
In the 9th, Perez had another shot for some heroics but could not deliver. Perez was up with tying run on second and the go-ahead run on first with two outs in the ninth, but struck out swinging. He finished the night going 2-5 with 2 RBI and a homer.
Sunday's 2:15 game will be host to âBark in the Park' day as man's best friend is allowed to enjoy an eventful day in the ballpark.
The Knights look to rebound from their close loss as RHP Nick Masset (0-2, 2.33 ERA) will take the mound for Charlotte, Durham will counter with Jae Seo (5-3, 3.54 ERA).
