PITTSON, Penn. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights fell to the New Jersey Titans, 3-2, in a matinee game on Wednesday, December 11, at Revolution Ice Centre.

The Knights' record in regular season play is now 12-12-2-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL).

"We got away from playing the physical game we needed to play against a skilled team like the Titans," said Head Coach Tom Kowal. "We didn't take advantage of our scoring chances and the Titans did."

The first period proved to be scoreless for either team, although the Titans outshot the Knights 15-12 in the first 20 minutes of regulation.

The Titans struck first at 5:04 of the second period to take a 1-0 lead, and the Knights entered the third period trailing by one goal.

At 3:56 of the third period, Jordan Strand tied up the game, 1-1, with a power play goal. Zak Currie and Tyrone Bronte recorded assists on the goal.

The Titans went on to extend their lead to two goals, scoring at 7:24 of the third period and again with 4:21 remaining.

With 26 seconds to go, Christopher Rubenach put the Knights within one goal again, assisted by Anthony Mastromonica. However, the Knights ultimately could not overcome the Titan's one-goal lead and fell, 3-2.

The Knights return to play on Friday, December 13th, for a 7pm matchup against the Jamestown Rebels at Revolution Ice Centre.
