Springfield captain Aaron Swanson had two goals and an assist to lead the Jr. Blues over the 1st place Brown Bears on Thursday night, 4-3. The game was deadlocked most of the night, with the two teams tied at 2-2 after two periods with Swanson scoring both goals for the Jr. Blues and Zach Krajnik and Peter Morgan finding the back of the net for Kenai River. In the 3rd period, the Jr. Blues took a 3-2 on an early goal from Adisen Brueck, but the lead was short-lived as Max Helgeson tied the game on the power play for the Brown Bears. With just over a minute remaining in regulation, Springfield got the game-winner on the power play from Hunter Longhi with an assist to Swanson. Alex Proctor made 21 saves in the win, while Landon Pavlisin made 23 saves in the loss.
