
Knights Can't Pull Off Sweep

FORT MILL, S.C. - August 22, 2008 - The Knights played another close game tonight but came out on the losing side as they fall to the Indians 3-2 at Knights Stadium. The Knights couldn't complete the sweep as they played their sixth straight one run game.
Indianapolis starter RHP Daniel McCutchen was outstanding for the Indians as he threw a shutout through the first seven innings before allowing a two run home run to outfielder David Cook. With the win McCutchen improves to 6-8 on the year.
The Knights only had five base runners on the night. Jesse Chavez came on to get the save for Indianapolis just two day after blowing a save against Charlotte. It was his 14th save of the season. Knights starter Jack Egbert took the loss, his record is now at 4-11.
The Knights continue their home stand taking on the Norfolk Tides tomorrow night. The Knights put LHP Wes Whisler (11- 9, 3.55 ERA) on the mound. The Tides counter with LHP Brian Burress (1-0, 0.82 ERA). Game time is 7:15.
