Knights acquire Jeff Whitfield

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter today announced that the team has acquired defenceman Jeff Whitfield from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for Scott Restoule.The Knights also acquired a 6th Round Pick in the 2005 OHL Draft from Sarnia. Whitfield, 19 will begin his 4th season in the OHL after being selected in the 2nd Round at the 2001 OHL Draft. Restoule, 17 was the Knights 4th Round Pick in the 2003 OHL Draft and spent the 2003-2004 season with the Strathroy Rockets Jr. B Team. Whitfield will be in London today for practice and will be in the line-up on Friday when the Knights open the 2004-2005 OHL Season in Kitchener at 7:30 pm.
