Affiliate player, Myles Powell, contributed a team-high, and new personal best, 22 points in a near 40-minute reserve role. The guard shot 46.7-percent from the field with five of his seven makes coming in three-point territory. Powell also shared the rock nine times, hauled four boards, came up with two steals and only committed a pair of miscues.
The trio of James Young (affiliate), Louis King (affiliate) and Simi Shittu (returning) each offered 21 points. Shittu's offensive output was accompanied by 14 rebounds crediting his second consecutive double-double game. Returning rights player, Tyler Hall, tied Powell's game-high five triples, added 17 points, a career-best 12 boards and five assists.
Jalen McDaniels led Greensboro (0-1) with 24 points on 43.8-percent and totaled eight boards and three assists. Vernon Carey Jr. put up 19 points while Ahmed Hill's 14 points came largely from his four made three-pointers.
Westchester (2-0) demonstrated a lead as large as 18 points evidenced at the 2:34 mark of the second quarter. The Swarm showed glimpses of a comeback and managed to outscore the Knicks in the third frame, 21-18. However, Greensboro fell victim to another double-digit deficit at around eight minutes into the fourth quarter and failed to recover.
After starting the season on a back-to-back, Westchester pauses action and resumes Saturday, February 13 against the Santa Cruz Warriors at 7:30 PM ET.
