YAKIMA, WA - The Kitsap BlueJackets scored eight of the final nine runs on Monday night at Yakima County Stadium, defeating the Yakima Valley Pippins, 7-2.

Jake Suddreth earned the win for Kitsap, pitching six innings of one-run baseball, limiting the Pippins to a season-low five hits. Zach Haggett (Central Washington) pitched three innings, allowing four runs in his first start of the season.

The Pippins (7-2) committed a season-high five errors as the BlueJackets capitalized with five unearned runs, including the eventual game-winning run during the 3rd inning.

Jack Sandberg (San Diego) led the Pippins with his first multi-hit game of the season. Mitchell Morimoto (Arizona), Derek Molina (Cal State Northridge) and Christian Koss (UC Irvine) collected the four other base hits.

The Pippins scored one run in the bottom of the 1st inning, tying the score, as Michael Filia (UC Irvine) plated safely on one of five BlueJackets' errors on the night.

Matthew Fish (Lewis-Clark State College) pitched three innings of relief allowing one run, while Grant Ford (Nevada) gave up zero earned runs in two innings and Ryan Garcia (UCLA) pitched a scoreless 9th inning for the Pippins.

Following Tuesday's schedule off-day, the Pippins return to action Wednesday night for a three-game series on the road against the Bend Elks starting at 7:05 p.m. Fans can listen live on 1460 ESPN Yakima, the official home for Yakima Valley Pippins Baseball.
