Andreychuk Returns to HarbourCats Tonight

VICTORIA, B.C. - Fans of the Victoria HarbourCats should be excited for Tuesday night's game at Royal Athletic Park, a 6:35pm start against the Gresham GreyWolves. Tonight's game, which kicks of a six-game homestand, will see the arrival of several players to the HarbourCats lineup including 2015 team MVP Griffin Andreychuk.

NEW ARRIVALS TO HARBOURCATS ROSTER

Several key players will make their season debuts on Tuesday night including returning HarbourCats INF Griffin Andreychuk (Seattle Univ.), OF AJ Alcantara (UC Irvine), RHP Austin Dondanville (Cal Poly) and RHP Josh Walker (Butler).

Andreychuk, a native of Nanaimo, BC begins his third season with the HarbourCats after posting a .385 batting average with five home runs and 25 RBIs a year ago. Alcantara returns for his second season in Victoria and his third in the West Coast League after hitting .330 with two home runs and 21 RBIs last summer.

First year players arriving for Tuesday's game include:

VETERANS POLSHUK AND GUIBOR SIGNED

The HarbourCats have signed two more returning players that should give a significant boost to the team, which is already 5-3, tied for first place in the WCL North Division and riding a five-game winning streak.

Austin Guibor is an outfielder from Campbell, CA and just completed his junior year at Fresno State (NCAA Div. 1; Mountain West) where he was one of the leading run producers for the Bulldogs, hitting .293 with seven home runs and 36 RBIs in 58 games. With the HarbourCats in 2015, Guibor hit .301 with four home runs and 26 RBIs.

Ben Polshuk is an outfielder from Clayton, CA who was a member of the 2015 HarbourCats and recently completed his sophomore year at Cal Poly (NCAA Div. 1; Big West). Polshuk has appeared in 51 games in his first two years with the Mustangs, and last summer for the HarbourCats hit .295 in 31 game with three home runs and 17 RBIs.

The team office at 1814 Vancouver Street (across from RAP) has returned to in-season hours. Assistant GM Brittany French is in the office and ready to assist fans with all ticket purchasing and can take care of any other requests and questions fans may have.

SATURDAY - 10:00am-2:00pm

SUNDAY - Closed (Except by appointment)
