
Kipper & the Travs Keep Rolling in Tulsa

Tulsa, OK - The Arkansas Travelers beat the Tulsa Drillers 3-2 on Friday night at ONEOK Field.
RHP Jordan Kipper (W, 10-5) became the second Texas League pitcher to 10 wins with 6.1 strong innings on Friday. He allowed a run on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
LHP Tyler DeLoach worked 1.2 scoreless innings behind Kipper to get the Travs to the ninth up 3-1.
In the ninth, RHP Keynan Middleton (S, 6) allowed a two-out home run to DH Kyle Garlick who finished 3-for-4 with both runs scored, but Middleton slammed the door to remain perfect in save opportunities for Arkansas.
Travs SS Anthony Phillips, a night after going 4-for-5, finished 2-for-2 with two walks, a double and two runs scored.
1B Eric Aguilera launched a home run to lead off the sixth, his first home run in 35 days, which ended up being the difference. Aguilera leads Arkansas with 59 RBIs and is second with 12 home runs.
LF Tim Arakawa successfully executed both sacrifice bunt attempts and added an RBI single for the Travs in the fifth.
With two more stolen bases on Friday, Arkansas now has 21 thefts over its last 10 games.
With the win and a Northwest Arkansas loss, The Travs moved into sole possession of first place in the Texas League North second half standings at 19-16.
