May 16, 2011 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Kinston Indians News Release
Kinston, NC - The Kinston Indians are teaming up with a record number of local schools for the 2011 All-Star Student Program. More than 66,000 students in ten counties across Eastern North Carolina Counties are taking part in the program.
The All-Star Student Program rewards local students with free Anytime Tickets (a reserved seat for any 2011 K-Tribe game) for their hard work. As part of the All-Star Student Program, each school will determine the criteria for earning an Anytime Ticket. From outstanding work, to improving work, to great effort and behavior, the program gives each school and teachers the flexibility to set whatever criteria they want.
"This is a chance for the Kinston Indians to give back to the communities and schools that have given us so much support over the last 25 years," said K-Tribe General Manager Benjamin Jones. "It is the least we can do to give back to Eastern North Carolina's hard working students and educators."
Schools in Craven, Jones, Pamlico, Lenoir, Greene, Duplin, Onslow, Wayne and Beaufort and Pitt Counties are taking part in the All-Star Student Program for 2011. This is the fifth consecutive year the Kinston Indians are teaming up with local schools in Eastern North Carolina.
The K-Tribe is home through Thursday at Historic Grainger Stadium! Game time this week 6:30 pm against the Advanced A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves Lynchburg. For a schedule or to purchase and print your tickets on-line, go to the www.kinstonindians.com or call the front office at 1-800-334-5467.
