
Kingsport Mets to Visit Local VA Medical Center

KINGSPORT, TN. - In honor of the Kingsport Mets Military Appreciation Night next week, the Kingsport Mets players and coaches will be visiting veterans at the James H Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Friday, August 28th.
Kingsport Mets players and coaches will travel to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Johnson City to visit with veterans, sign autographs and say thank you. The K-Mets are honored to be visiting Mountain Home and to personally thank our Veterans for their time and sacrifices they have made for our country.
As part of the celebration for Military Appreciation Night the Kingsport Mets will honor active military and veterans at the game on Monday, August 31st. During special Pre-Game Ceremonies the Kingsport Mets will honor three Veterans that have received some distinguished honors for their time served. Also the first 200 Active Military or Veterans will receive free admission into the game compliments of FAST Trucking. K-Mets Player will also be wearing a special patriotic hat on the field in honor of our m ilitary.
The entire New York Mets organization is recognizing the military in the organization-wide promotion "Military Monday". The Major League team and each Mets minor league affiliate will be honoring our U.S. service men and women on Monday, August 31st at their ballparks around the country.
