BLUEFIELD, WV - This Sunday August 30, the Bluefield Blue Jays will host Steve Harvey Bobblehead Night at Bowen Field.
General Manager Jeff Gray unveiled the bobblehead on WVVA News late last week.
Harvey was born in nearby Welch, WV. He attended both West Virginia University and Kent State University.
Harvey is most noted for his roles as the host of his self-titled daytime talk show on television and as the host of the popular game show, "Family Feud."
The Steve Harvey Show can be seen daily in Bluefield on WVVA-TV.
He is a 3-time Daytime Emmy Award winner and has spent his life working as a television and radio host, actor, comedian and author. Earlier in his life, he spent time working as a boxer, carpet cleaner, mailman and insurance salesman.
Steve Harvey has been invited to make an appearance at Bowen Field and throw out the first pitch.
The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free Steve Harvey Bobblehead courtesy of Grants Super Markets, when the Bluefield Blue Jays begin their final home series of the season against the Burlington Royals.
Gates open at 5 PM and first pitch is at 6:05.
