
Kings Rule Fourth Quarter to Take the First Match in Texas

FRISCO, TX - The Stockton Kings (7-4) dominated the fourth quarter to erase a 29-point deficit and beat the Texas Legends (5-5) 109-99.
Carlik Jones grabbed the first basket of the night for Texas to take the lead early. Jones and Olin Carter combined for 12 points to build up a 26-15 lead after one. The Legends took their largest lead of the night (+29) in the third, but Stockton used a 12-point performance from DJ Steward to cut the difference to 19 at the buzzer. The fourth quarter was all King basketball as they held Texas to seven points while powering out 36 to erase the gap and take the lead on the series.
Seven of the eight active Legends finished in double-digits led by Jones with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Carter added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Deng Geu finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds. Feron Hunt and Isaiah Brown grabbed 8 rebounds each while adding 13 and 10 points respectively. Dakota Mathias and Brandon Fields each finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds.
Emanuel Terry led all with 26 points, 15 rebounds while dishing out 3 assists and grabbing 2 blocks. Steward tagged on 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Matt Coleman III reached 21 points, 6 assists.
