The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeated the Wisconsin Herd 134-115 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
Lakeland's two two-way players, Admiral Schofield and Ignas Brazdeikis, were up with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night for the team's one-point win in Indiana. Later that night they were on a late-night flight back to Florida to get ready for a Lakeland Magic game the very next day. Schofield came into the RP Funding Center and poured in a team-high 27 points, 13 rebounds and five assists as Brazdeikis scored 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead the Magic to their highest scoring output of the season and the win over the Herd.
Wisconsin led by as many as 10 points in the first half, but Lakeland outscored the Herd 34-20 in the third quarter and never relinquished the lead. Rayjon Tucker led Wisconsin with a game-high 31 points, aided by 23 from Jalen Lecque. It was a total team effort from Lakeland, with seven players scoring in double figures, including a double-double from Hassani Gravett. Devin Cannady continued his strong play, scoring 16 points for the second game in a row since his comeback from ankle surgery.
The Lakeland Magic are back in action on Sunday, February 6 at 2:00 PM against the Greensboro Swarm at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. Fans can tune in to watch on Bally Sports Florida.
