LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with left wing Scott Parse, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

He also tallied his first NHL goal on October 29 vs. Vancouver (in his fourth NHL game), notched his first career multi-point game (1-12) on December 5 vs. St. Louis, and collected his first career two-goal game on March 29 at Minnesota.
Prior to his recall to the Kings on October 23, Parse had a team-high nine assists and 11 points (2-911) in seven regular season games with the Monarchs. Parse appeared in 74 regular season games with the Monarchs during the 2008-09 season, recording 39 points (15-2439) and 38 penalty minutes. His 39 points ranked fifth on the club, while his 15 goals were tied for fourth.
Parse began his pro career late in the 2006-07 season with Grand Rapids of the AHL after completing his senior year at the University of Nebraska-Omaha (NCAA). He split time with Manchester and Reading of the ECHL during the 2007-08 season.
