Kings Fall 2-1
July 12, 2009 - Frontier League (FL)
Kalamazoo Kings News Release
The Kalamazoo Kings fell to the Rockford Riverhawks 2-1 Sunday afternoon. Bernard Robert pitched a great game, going 8 1/3 innings while only allowing one run. After being unable to figure out Riverhawks' starter Tanner Watson, the Kings were able to plate the tying run against Marcus McKenzie on a Tim Brown sacrifice fly. The game went into extra innings and after a lead off double followed up by two passed balls the Riverhawks took the lead for good to hold on for the win.
