
Kings edge Wild Things; Jamison Hurls Complete Game

Washington, PAâ Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, were edged 3-0 by Ryan Jamison and the Kalamazoo Kings Wednesday night in front of the 12th straight sellout crowd at Falconi Field.
Jamison worked the full nine innings for the Kings who improve to 33-23 on the season. He limited the Wild Things (34-19) to three hits and no runs while striking out six. Washington's Matt McDonnell was solid in six innings, as he allowed just two runs off of six hits.
However, Kalamazoo scored two runs in the top of the sixth off of three doubles and a sacrifice fly. Fehlandt Lentini added an RBI single in the eighth to increase the lead to 3-0.
The Wild Things, though, remain two games ahead of Evansville, which lost to Richmond. Despite the victory, Kalamazoo remains 2.5 games behind Washington in the Eastern Division standings.
The Wild Things begin a six-game road trip Thursday, July 22, in Evansville. After a three-game series with the Otters, the Wild Things head to Chillicothe for three games.
