Kings Assign Muzzin to Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Jake Muzzin to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Muzzin, 21, has played in eight Kings games this season, his first in the NHL. He has one point (an assist) and zero penalty minutes. He's currently tied for eighth among NHL rookies (second among rookie defensemen) with 17 hits. The 6-foot-3, 213-pound native of Woodstock, Ontario was signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on January 4, 2010.
