Kingfish Sink Frogs On Friday Night

Kenosha, Wis. - Kenosha, Wis. - A two-out Steven Sensley (LSU-Eunice) single scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 7th, putting the game out of reach for the Bullfrogs here in a foggy Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Green Bay and Kenosha traded runs early, with Bullfrog Ryan Howell (Chabot College) and Kingfish Alex Dunlap (Stanford University) both with two RBI's early on.

Left fielder Brian Celsi (California) led the Green Bay offense, with the Mountain View, California, native going 4-4 with 2 runs.

Coley Thompkins (Campbell University) closed out the game, picking up his 2nd win for the Kingfish. Thompkins improved his record to 2-0, throwing three solid innings of relief, giving up only one hit, while striking out two.

Luke Watson (UW-Stevens Point) is charged with his second loss of the season. The Iron Mountain, Michigan, native pitched one and one third innings and was charged with the go-ahead run in the 7th.

The Green Bay Bullfrogs and Kenosha Kingfish face off again Saturday night at Simmons Field at 7:05 pm. Bullfrog Ethan Rosebeck (Pima CC) will be making his fifth start of the season. Rosebeck is 1-2 on the season with a 5.50 ERA. Rosebeck is looking to dominate the Kingfish for the second time this season. Last time he faced the Fish, Rosebeck tossed six solid innings, giving up only two runs on six hits, picking up a win.

Opposing Rosebeck will be Dillon Mazzoccoli (Blinn College). The 6'4" righty with a 2.89 ERA will be making his 5th appearance (1st start) this season. Mazzoccoli's last outing came in St.Cloud where he was outstanding, pitching five innings, giving up only one hit, while striking out four.
