Green Bay Rockers News Release

Kenosha, Wis. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs (10-14) make their debut at newly renovated Simmons Field Friday night against the Kenosha Kingfish (11-11). Both the Kingfish and Bullfrogs are looking to bounce back after each suffering tough one-run losses on Thursday evening.

In Wausau, Wis., the Bullfrogs got a solid four innings from starter Ryan McCourt (Coffeyville CC), scattering three hits, striking out two, while only giving up one run. The Woodchucks erupted for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, putting Wisconsin up 4-1. A Brian Celsi (California) two-run double in the seventh inning was not enough to close the gap, as Green Bay fell to Wisconsin 4-3.

Down in Kenosha, the Kingfish lost a pitchers duel with nearby Lakeshore. A two out single in the second inning by the Chinooks DH Kyle Wood (Purdue) was all Lakeshore needed as they cruised to a 1-0 victory over Kenosha.

Taking the mound, making his Bullfrogs debut, is right-handed pitcher Zac Butler (Lincoln Memorial). The six-footer from Blue Springs, Missouri, was 4-5 in twelve starts with a 5.45 ERA this past season for the Rail Splitters.

Opposing Butler will be Kenosha's Rex Morrow (Madison College). The five-foot-eight Burlington, Wisconsin native will be making his fourth appearance (third start) for the Kingfish. Morrow's last start on the season, at St. Cloud, resulted in a no-decision as he only lasted three innings, giving up one run on four hits.

First pitch Friday is scheduled at 7:05pm at Simmons Field in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
