
Kingfish Drop Series Finale to Bucks

Kenosha, Wis. - It's opening week in Wisconsin in the Northwoods League presented by Edvest.
The Kingfish took their first loss at home this summer to the Waterloo Bucks, by a final score of 7-3. The loss moves both the Kingfish and Bucks to 4-2 marks this summer.
Waterloo got the scoring started in a big way. Blake Alexander belted a grand slam to left field in the 4th, giving Waterloo a 4-0 lead which they never yielded. In the 5th, Jake Hand came back with a 2 RBI single to push the Bucks to a 6-0 advantage.
The Kingfish finally scored in the 6th when Matt Hearn came home on a Nick Kanavas fielder's choice. Kenosha tried to get a late rally going, but was unable to finish the deal.
Mason Fishback, in his first game as a Kingfish, went 2 for 3 with a walk. Matt Hearn also had a 2 hit outing as he went 2 for 5 on the afternoon. Aaron Schwark took the Mound to start for the Kingfish, and worked 4.2 IP while allowing 4 runs. Colton Lee let up three runs in 2.1 IP and Andrew Reisinger pitched 2 scoreless frames.
The Kingfish head to Kalamazoo tomorrow to take on the Growlers. After that, they have a 4 game series against Rockford, which includes 3 road games and a home matchup with the Rivets.
