CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon that Jimmy Kilpatrick has been named In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 1, 2009. Kilpatrick, 24, netted four goals and added four assists for an ECHL high eight points during last week.

Kilpatrick, a native of New Prague, MN, is the second Cyclones player to collect the In Glas Co Player of the Week award this season (Michael Cohen won it on January 6). The five-foot-eleven, 185 pounder scored a pair of goals and added an assist in the 6-4 loss to Elmira on January 28. Jimmy had a pair of assists in regulation time and then scored the game-ending power play goal in overtime with 8.6 seconds remaining in the 3-2 win at Dayton on January 30. The next night (Jan. 31), he closed the week with a goal and an assist in a 6-4 defeat of Dayton.

Kilpatrick leads the Cyclones with 21 goals on the season and has tied the club record by scoring the first goal in a game seven times. He ranks fourth among all rookies in points with 44 (21 goals and 23 assists) and is fifth in goal scoring among first year players.

Cincinnati is currently 24-16-5 on the season and with a win tonight over Reading (at U.S. Bank Arena at 7:30pm) could move into first place in the North Division.
