
Killer Bees Roll Bucks, Win 6-2

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
HIDALGO, Texas- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (7-5-0) defeated the Laredo Bucks (3-7-0) by a 6-2 final on Friday night. Aaron Lee added to his high scoring season with a pair of goals in the second period. Lee leads the Central Hockey League and the Killer Bees in goals. Aiding in the triumph for the Bees was Jake Hauswirth with two goals as well as Tomas Klempa, and Zac Pearson with strikes.
Laredo scored right off the draw at only 36 seconds into the first period. The Bees answered back quickly with two goals within the span of 1:06. Hauswirth took the puck in from the top of the right circle at 13:19 into the first period with assists from Jason Beeman and Jason Dixon.
Shortly after, Klempa roofed the puck in from the right side of the crease for the second Bees goal of the night.
Joseph Harcharik of the Bucks scored late into the first period leaving the two teams tied, 2-2, going into the locker room.
The Bees dominated the second period with a pair of goals from Lee. Lee scored his first goal of the night less than a minute into the period giving the Bees an early lead for the period. Lee picked up the rebound from a Zac Pearson shot.
Minutes later, at 3:41 into the second, Lee struck again giving the Bees a two point advantage. Lee has scored nine goals this season to lead the team.
Laredo remained scoreless for the second period. Laredo has a great chance late in the period but Mark Nebus was stoned by Wylie Rogers on a breakaway.
The Bees continued to dominate the play going into the third period with a second goal from Hauswirth and an additional goal from Pearson. The Bucks failed to score in the third period and gave the win to the Bees, 6-2.
After the Bees sixth goal Ryan Rondeau was pulled in favor of Torrie Jung for Laredo.
Wylie Rogers had 28 saves in the net.
The Bees return to action tomorrow night, November 19th, once again taking on the Laredo Bucks at the State Farm Arena. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 956-843-7825 or visiting killerbeehockey.com.
