Killer Bees Beat Bugs 3-0

Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release


BOSSIER CITY, LA -- It was more of the same story for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs who fell 3-0 to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Friday night at CenturyTel Center. The Mudbugs gave up the first goal on a costly turnover as Brian Sutherland lost his edge in front of the net and Johnathan Robert slapped the puck past Ken Carroll.

The Mudbugs couldn't convert on three more powerplay opportunites in the second, including a double minor. The Killer Bees scored two more goals, one from Mike Looby on a deflection and another from Emery Olauson on the powerplay.

There was no scoring in the third period as Jeremy Symington picked up his second straight shutout for the Bees. The Mudbugs pick up their second straight loss, the first home loss of the season. They''ll host the Wichita Thunder tomorrow night at 7:05 at the CenturyTel Center.
