Hounds look for home cooking against Corpus Christi

The SteelHounds (7-3-3) and the Corpus Christi Rayz (7-6-1) meet tonight for the second straight game and for the middle game of a three game set at the Chevrolet Centre. Youngstown earned their first victory in four all-time tries against the team from south Texas on Wednesday with a 4-3 shootout victory. Youngstown is 4-1-1 at home this season.

One of the highlights of Wednesday's triumph was the first ever penalty shot in SteelHounds history taken and scored by John Wheaton. John Neal and Tab Lardner also found the back of the net for the Hounds during regulation and Brad Patterson scored the game winner in the shootout and goaltender Brent Currie made seven of nine stops in the extended extra frame. The nine rounds of the shootout was the longest this season for the Hounds.

Corpus Christi was paced by Jason Baird and Justin Quenneville on Wednesday night who each had a goal and a pair of assists.

Tonight's game will be Bike Night at the Chevy Centre with Harley Davidson bikes parked throughout the concourse and Harley/SteelHounds team posters on hand for the first 1500 fans.

Next Game: The Hounds and Rays do it again tomorrow night in the final game of a six-game home stand for Youngstown. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM (EST).
