
Kieffer Bellows Signs One-Year Deal with Islanders

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, shared today that alumnus Kieffer Bellows re-signed a one-year contract with the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League.
Bellows enjoyed his most productive NHL campaign last season as a full-time member of the Isles, scoring six goals and 13 assists for 19 points in 45 games. Following the NHL season, the Edina, Minn. native represented Team USA at the 2021 World Championships and scored five points in ten tournament games.
Bellows played in Portland during the 2018-19 season, ranking second on the Hawks with 41 goals in 56 games and paced the team with 13 points in 12 playoff games. That same year, Bellows captured a gold medal with USA at the IIHF U20 World Junior Championship and was named a tournament all-star.
Originally selected by the Islanders in the first round, #19 overall, of the 2016 NHL Draft, Bellows has played 192 professional games to date split between the NHL and the Islanders' American Hockey League affiliate in Bridgeport, Conn.
