Richmond Kickers News Release

RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond Kickers (6-17-3) continue their road trip this Saturday night as they head to Lucas Oil Stadium to face Indy Eleven (11-7-7) for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The Kickers will host an Official Watch Party at Metro Bar and Grill, located at 301 N. Robinson St, Richmond, VA 23220. This match will be available live on WTVR CBS 6.3 (Comcast 206, Verizon FiOS 466) and streaming online through ESPN+.

Saturday night's match will be the first trip to Indianapolis for the Kickers, and just the second meeting between the two clubs. Indy took the first meeting at City Stadium back on March 24. Jack McInerney put Indy up just four minutes before halftime for the only goal of the match.

Richmond will look to bounce back after a 0-4 road defeat at Nashville SC Tuesday night. Nashville went into halftime carrying a 1-0 lead behind a goal from Tucker Hume. The home side would score three more times in the second half, with goals coming from Bradley Bourgeois, Matt LaGrassa and a second from Hume to seal the victory and all three points.

Indy battled Pittsburgh to a wild 2-2 draw Wednesday night at Lucas Oil Stadium. Jack McInerney gave Indy the lead after just four minutes that they would hold onto until first half stoppage time when Joseph Greenspan leveled it for Pittsburgh. Christiano François put Pittsburgh up 2-1 in the 59th minute to lead on the road. McInerney would come to the rescue once again for Indy, scoring a very late equalizer in stoppage time to salvage the point at home.

The Kickers will head south next Saturday night, as they travel to take on the Charlotte Independence (7-11-8) at the Sportsplex at Matthews for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. This match will be available to stream online through ESPN+. Stay up to date with the Kickers at RichmondKickers.com.
