Nashville SC, Martim Galvao Mutually Terminate Contract
August 31, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - Nashville Soccer Club and midfielder Martim Galvao have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Galvao will be pursuing playing opportunities abroad.
"We want to thank Martim for his service to the club, plying his trade on our PDL team and then graduating into our senior team this season," said Nashville SC technical director and VP of soccer operations Mike Jacobs. "We wish him the best of luck in all his endeavors on and off the field."
While Galvao did not appear in any game action for Nashville SC this season, he was an integral part of the Nashville SC U23 team in the PDL that preceded the USL team in 2017. With the PDL side, Galvao appeared in 23 matches, scoring a team-high seven goals. He was the only member of the PDL team to earn a contract with the USL team.
He came up through the Sporting CP academy in Portugal before moving to the United States and playing collegiately at Pfeiffer College and suiting up for the PDL's Ocean City Nor'easters.
