Keys vs. Indians suspended in 7th, tied at 7; game will resume saturday at 5:30 pm

Frederick, MD -- Lightning and pending thundershowers suspended the action during Friday night's game between the Frederick Keys and Kinston Indians.

The game will resume on Saturday at 5:30 PM in the bottom of the seventh inning, with the score tied 7-7. The suspended action from Friday will be followed by the Keys regularly scheduled 9-inning game vs. Kinston. Fans attending Friday's suspended game will be able to redeem their tickets at the Keys Box Office for any other home game during the 2006 season.

The Keys jumped all over Indians' starter Jensen Lewis in the top of the first inning, bringing eight batters to the plate. With the bases loaded third-baseman Matthew Whitney's error allowed Josh McCurdy to reach first and Nolan Reimold to cross the plate. Lewis walked Bryan Bass to bring Dustin Yount across the plate and then allowed a single to Brian Bock to drive in two more runs, putting Frederick in front 4-0.

In the bottom of the second inning Jacob Duncan hit the first pitch he saw over the left field wall to extend the Keys lead to five.

The Indians would get to David Haehnel and the Keys' defense in the top of the third inning after Matt Whitney walked and Micah Schilling reached on an error. Argenis Reyes followed with a double to left field and moved to third on a throwing error by . Reyes would later score on Brandon Pinckney's sacrifice fly to center field to bring Kinston within two runs.

Kinston would overtake the Keys in the top of the fifth inning, as Brandon Pinckney lined a two-run double to center field. A batter later Brian Barton hit a two-run home run over the left center field wall to put the Indians in front 7-5.

But with the rain picking up Nolan Reimold smashed a two-run home run over the left field wall to tie the score at seven in the bottom of the sixth inning.
