Frederick Keys News Release
Frederick, MD -- A large portion of the 9,376 fans remained at the ballpark for Frederick County Keys For Reading, despite a two-hour nine-minute rain delay. The Indians expanded the lead in the top of the third on Brian Barton's two-run double off Luis Ramirez, scoring Jose Costanza and Micah Schilling.
Schilling singled to drive in a run an inning later, scoring Matt Whitney, to put the Indians in front 4-0. Tempers flared moments later when the benches cleared after Ramirez hit Trevor Crowe with a pitch, though no one was ejected.
Bryan Bass closed the gap in the bottom of the fifth inning with a two-run single off Scott Roehl, scoring Dustin Yount and Josh McCurdy. But Bass was later picked off first base by Roehl to end the rally.
