
Key Reassigned to Hammerheads

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have reassigned LHP Chris Key to the Jupiter Hammerheads while assigning RHP Aaron Small to the Carolina Mudcats effective Saturday, May 10.
Key, who was promoted to the Mudcats on May 6, appeared in one game with Carolina, working two shutout innings.
Small will meet the Mudcats in Mobile, AL Saturday and pitch in relief of starter Marty McLeary that night. Small, a 31-year-old right-hander, has pitched in the major leagues with five different teams, including 1/3 of an inning with the Atlanta Braves last season.
The Mudcats roster sits at 22 players, one below the Southern League maximum.
