Keven Veilleux Joins Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed center Keen Veilleux to an amateur tryout contract, it was announced on Friday.

Veilleux, 20, split 2007-08 between Victoriaville and Rimouski in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, recording 64 points (17+47) and 76 penalty minutes in 61 games.

In three seasons in the QMJHL, Veilleux posted 134 points (39+95) and 133 penalty minutes in 164 games. He was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round (51st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Penguins play the first home game of the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs this Saturday, April 19 at 7:05pm.

Fans holding vouchers from the Penguins' Robo's Readers School Reading Program or from Sundance Vacations can use those vouchers for any first round playoff game. Vouchers must be redeemed through the Penguins ticket office located at 670 North River Street in the Waterfront Complex.
