Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
BELOIT, WIS. - Wednesday's contest between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and the Beloit Snappers was postponed due to wintry conditions at Pohlman Field. Cedar Rapids and Beloit are still scheduled for a doubleheader Thursday at 4:00 p.m. to make up for a postponement Tuesday. Since Thursday is the final day that the Snappers host the Kernels during the first half of the season, a makeup game for Wednesday's tilt is expected during Cedar Rapids' home series with Beloit in June.
The Kernels are still looking to play their first game since hosting the Clinton LumberKings last Friday. When the Kernels are in action, be sure to follow the coverage throughout the season on 1450 KMRY AM and 93.1 KMRY FM and online at www.kmryradio.com and www.kernels.com.
Cedar Rapids' next homestand runs from Friday, April 20 through Thursday, April 26. Upcoming promotions include the Royce Lewis Bobblehead Giveaway, Star Wars Night, and the season's first Bark in the Park Night. Fans can purchase tickets for all Cedar Rapids home games by visiting www.kernels.com, going to the Kernels Ticket Office, or calling (319) 896-7560. The Kernels Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On Sundays when the Kernels have a home game, the Kernels Ticket Office will open at 11:00 a.m.
