Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
August 22, 2007 - Wednesday's game between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Burlington Bees has been postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, August 23 at 6 pm with the gates opening at 5 pm.
RHP Tommy Mendoza (1-4) will start game one for the Kernels with RHP Amalio Diaz (2-5) starting game two. Burlington will start RHP Daniel Gutierrez (1-1) in game one and LHP Everett Teaford (5-8) in the nightcap.
Fans with tickets in the Premier, Club and Plaza seating sections may exchange their tickets for one of the three remaining regular season games at the Kernels Ticket Office for a seat of equal value, based on availability.
It will be 100.7 The Fox Buck-A-Cup Thursday where 12 ounce cups of draft beer or soda are just a buck all game. Slushies are also one dollar and bottled soda and water are two bucks.
