Seven runs in two innings helped propel the Snappers past the Cougars on Tuesday night, 7-5. Steve Singleton and Chris Parmelee provided the pop for Beloit as they went a combined 5 for 8 in the win.

The Cougars got on the board first in the top of the third inning with three quick runs. Beloit, however, would bounce right back in the bottom half.

Three runs on four hits, highlighted by a Chris Parmelee double, helped tie the game at 3-3. Parmelee and company were not done there.

Beloit pounded out four more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the 7-3 lead. The Snappers scored their four runs off of five hits. RBI's from Steve Singleton, Joe Benson, Wilson Ramos, and Danny Berg capped a seven run explosion in two innings for Beloit.

That would be all the runs that the Snappers would need as they went on to win by a final of 7-5. Alex Burnett picked up his eighth win, going five innings and allowing four runs. Burnett also added five strikeouts on the night.

Matt Williams, Jose Lugo, and Anthony Slama closed the game off for the Snappers as they took game three of the six game set with Kane County. Slama picked up his eighth save of the season going an inning and a third not allowing a base runner.

The win improves the Snappers' second half record to 30-25, third place in the Western Division.
