Kennesaw State's Luque allocated to WBA's Gainesville Knights

Atlanta, GA - The World Basketball Association (WBA) and Commissioner Mike Glenn announce Ray Luque, 6-5 SG from Kennesaw State, has been allocated to the Gainesville (GA) Knights. Luque, led the Owls to a 24-6 season in his senior campaign, while averaging 15 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and shooting 42.8% from the 3-point line for the year. As a Junior, Ray was an important piece to the puzzle, as KSU capped off a 35-4 season by claiming the NCAA Division II National Championship. Ray averaged 12.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals for the Owls in his Junior season. He played his first two collegiate seasons at Miami-Dade Community College; garnered honorable mention All-FCCAA Southern Conference last season; averaged 13.1 points per game and shot 34 percent from three-point range; played prep basketball at Miami Springs High School in Miami, Florida.

The 12 team WBA, in its second year of existence, is a developmental professional league designed to teach, develop, and expose basketball players to NBA, NBDL, CBA, and International Scouts while providing each community an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment. The purpose of the WBA, under new Commissioner Mike Glenn, is to serve as a training ground to develop professional players, coaches, and personnel on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, career development, community involvement, and education. The WBA is the next best thing to the NBA!
