THE GAINESVILLE KNIGHTS OF THE WORLD BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION & THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF HALL COUNTY JOIN FORCES TO MAKE ONE TEAM!

Gainesville, Georgia (February 14, 2006) - "We are very excited to have the Gainesville Knights join as a corporate sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club of Hall County's Goals for Graduation Program," said Tamarind Stewart, Chief Professional Officer of the historical youth organization. "This academic goal setting program links our members' future aspirations with concrete actions today -- low achievements in our school leads to unrealized potential, locking our youngsters into limited options for future scholastic and lifestyle opportunities," Stewart added.

Knights President, Curtis Richardson, has devised a series of community-based fundraising events featuring the Boys & Girls Club of Hall County, in an effort to support this educational enhancement initiative - and to assist the furtherance of the goals of the organization. "We all have a moral responsibility to share our bounties to benefit those who are in need," said Richardson, "and we we will always consider this partnership with Ms. Stewart a wonderful situation for the team and for the community."

In the first of many planned events to aid the Center, the Gainesville Knights will host a Charity fundraiser basketball game at 3:00pm on Saturday February 25th, 2006 at Gainesville High School Gymnasium. The fun filled, action packed game will feature a visiting team of pro players, including WBA stars going against an All-star team featuring the Atlanta Falcon's Fred McCrary and many other professional volunteers, who have donated their appearances.

The proceeds of the game will have a significant impact on the success of programs initiated by the Boys & Girls Club of Hall County. The Goals for Graduation Program came about to help stop the decline of high school graduation rates in all regions of the country. This program assists students from all ethnic and economic groups, and it has shown effective improvement in graduation rates since inception.
