Kelly Ross, Jackson State, allocated to WBA's Misssippi franchise

Atlanta, GA - The World Basketball Association (WBA) and Commissioner Mike Glenn announce Kelly Ross, a 6'8" 211lb F/C from Jackson State University has been allocated to the Mississippi franchise. Ross, who hails from Prentiss, Mississippi, averaged 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game during his senior season. Kelly had a high scoring game of 19 points versus Tougaloo College on December 18th, and high rebound game of 14 versus Prairie View A&M on January 17th. Kelly Ross was recognized by the United States Navy, as well as the Southwestern Athletic Conference, for being on the National Dean's List and his his academic achievement. Ross' on-court performance garnered him recognition as a part of the SWAC All-Tournament team, after collecting 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers' win over Mississippi Valley.

The 12 team WBA, in its second year of existence, is a developmental professional league designed to teach, develop, and expose basketball players to NBA, NBDL, CBA, and International Scouts while providing each community an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment. The purpose of the WBA, under new Commissioner Mike Glenn, is to serve as a training ground to develop professional players, coaches, and personnel on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, career development, community involvement, and education. The WBA is the next best thing to the NBA! The WBA will hold its Free Agent Draft Camp on April 15-16 at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
