Alabama State's Golden allocated to Tunica Gambers

Atlanta, GA - The World Basketball Association (WBA) has allocated Rafael Golden, a 6'4" G/F, from Alabama State, to the Tunica Gamblers. Golden, twice named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Week, averaged 15 points and 7 rebounds per game for the Hornets. He scored a season high of 33 points at Texas Southern on January 31st. He also led the Hornets to the SWAC Title Game, where they fell to NCAA-bound Alabama A&M. Led team with 31 three-point field goals on the season, while shooting 33.7% from beyond the arc.

The 12 team WBA, in its second year of existence, is a developmental professional league designed to teach, develop, and expose basketball players to NBA, NBDL, CBA, and International Scouts while providing each community an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment. The purpose of the WBA, under new Commissioner Mike Glenn, is to serve as a training ground to develop professional players, coaches, and personnel on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, career development, community involvement, and education. The WBA is the next best thing to the NBA! The WBA will hold its Free Agent Draft Camp on April 15-16 at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
