Kent, WA. - Carsen Twarynski(28) got things started for Kelowna at 11:33 of the opening frame on a 5-on-3 power play. Jack Cowell(8) scored on the power play 1:43 later and the Rockets held a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Colum McGauley(2) gave the Rockets a 3-goal cushion at 3:41 of the middle stanza. Leif Mattson(12) added to the Rockets lead at 10:53 on another Kelowna power play. The Rockets led 4-0 after 40 minutes.

Twarynski(29) collected the Rockets fourth power play goal of the evening at 9:30. Dillon Hamaliuk(8) and Austin Strand(14) scored for Seattle late in the game, but Mattson(13) scored on the empty net to seal it 6-2 for Kelowna.

The Rockets enjoyed multi-point evenings from Leif Mattson(2G,1A), Cal Foote(3A), Carsen Twarynski(2G), and Kyle Topping(2A). James Porter's record improves to 18-6-2-0 after stopping 23 of the 25 shots he faced. The Rockets outshot the T-Birds 42-25. Kelowna's record improves to 27-12-2-1.

Kelowna will be back on home ice on Wednesday, January 17th, when they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
