Kelowna Rockets News Release

Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Rockets and the Kelowna Community Food Bank present "Stuff The Food Bank Truck."

This weekend while the Rockets host the Vancouver Giants and Prince George Cougars at Prospera Place, the Kelowna Community Food Bank's one ton truck will be parked just outside the front gate. The Rockets are encouraging fans to bring a non-perishable food item to "Stuff The Truck."

Each year the Kelowna Community Food Bank helps over 30,000 people and over 10,000 children. February is traditionally a difficult month for the Food Bank's supplies and any help is greatly appreciated.

Kelowna Rockets' Director of Marketing Anne-Marie Hamilton states, "We are honoured to partner with the Food Bank for this initiative. This promotion is an extension of our family skate program in which we ask fans to bring a non-perishable food item for admission to the skate which we in turn donated to the Food Bank."
